About Us

The development and distribution of the Solisto product family that we introduced in 2005 is one of two areas of business of our company avail Information Systems GmbH. The second is the development of complex web-based applications.

avail was founded in May 2000. In the first years, the focus lay on the development of business applications for the internet. In 2004, we started the to expand to the area of consumer electronics, at first in the field of car audio, now for home audio as well. These products are marketed under the brand name Solisto and are developed and almost completely made in Germany.

Solisto

Our main aim for the Solisto product family is to offer solutions that comply with our own, very high expectations concerning quality. We understand quality not only as a measure for how good the materials or the fabrication are, but quality should be found in the functionality, in service & support and in the product design as well.

Our products feature powerful functionality, but we try to avoid an feature overkill as found in many of today's solutions. If the usage gets too complicated, the device will not be used and is worthless. An example of what we consider a high quality in terms of functionality: the Solisto.Home can learn to react to almost any remote control. This is very convenient in many ways and why should any device tell the user which kind of remote control to use?

Our customers confirm our high level of service & support again and again, both in emails to us and publicly on the internet. No company can guarantee to work without making any mistakes or to anticipate all usage problems that customers might run into. But the way in which is dealt with such issues is what we wanted to do better than the others right from the start. Our customers' feedback confirms that we are on the right track. The relationship with a customer should start with the purchase but not end there!

One central statement of our product design are the industry quality aluminium housings. A housing should protect the internals of the device and do not break after two years of normal usage. The housing is a symbol for the solidity and quality the product as a whole has to fulfil.

While remaining loyal to the principals listed above, we strive to reach an attractive value for money. It is not that difficult to simply make a product worse to lower the price. But would it still fulfil its purpose and even after warranty time is over? We could invest in every single detail no matter if it matters in real life or not to build a completely perfect product - but who would be able and willing to buy? Solisto products are positioned in a niche between those two extremes, a niche that is neglected by too many producers right now.
